heard on the radio

I heard this story on the radio while on my way to work not a very long time ago..

An always busy father was so angry when he saw his young little girlplaying a gold-coloured wrapping paper in the living room. He scolded thelittle girl " you stupid girl...dont you know that paper is used for wrapping gifts ?!! The girl shocked and said, " I'm sorry dad". Then came the next day, it was the dad's birthday..and the girl walked to her father and handed him a gift.To the father's surprise the gift was wrapped with the gold-coloured wrapping paper.He realized that was the wrapping paper the girl was playing. He smiled as he realized the girl wasn't playing with the gold-colored paperbut wrapping a gift for his birthday.
But when he unwrapped the gift, he was surprised since there was nothing inside.He got angry with the girl and threw the gift into the litter bin."Stupid, when are you going to be clever?" he said to the girl.Suddenly the girl replied " I blew kisses into it dad ".The father then quiet as he never expected those words came out from the girl's mouth.He had a little regret for what he had said to the girl. On the next day when the girl was playing her small bicycle on the road infront of their house, a fast moving car knocked her down.She died on the way to the hospital.The father almost lost his mind for losing his bright little girl. Till the last day of his life, he kept an empty gift with gold-colouredwrapping by his bed.
