Things You Can Do on Your Own to Decrease Organizational Chaos
1. Limit the amount of emails you send out. Don't push "reply to all" when you send an email unless you are sending a general announcement.
2. Keep time agreements. Warn people in advance if you can't be on time.
3. Have the courage to be realistic: Don't say yes when you can't be on time.Don't make impossible commitments to clients, bosses, funders, employees, colleagues, or people who work for you.
4. Follow up on what you say you will do. Don't make people track you down.
5. Leave transition time between meetings.
6. Use back-casting for your planning and don't leave things the last minute.
7. Stop when you are tired. Go home, do something different on the weekend, or when burned out, go on vacation
